Amy Sharaf

You would be pleasantly surprised how resilient plants are...when we had the garage put in, there was a relatively large juvenile spruce I wanted to save. About 20' tall. The heavy equipment guy made a depression in the dirt where I wanted it to go, picked the thing up on his front loader, delivered it to the depression, placed it there and I covered it's mangled root ball as best I could. That was about 10 years ago. Yr is now about 30 ft high and putting out cones.

Sounds like a good, productive weekend was had, albeit a little frustrating at times! On a positive note, you learned something new about your house.

Amy, yes, I know how resilient plants are. I wouldn't have transplanted the tree otherwise. :)
