Yep, Li'l Bit is already 8 weeks old. And as happy and sweet as he is cute. What a joy to have saved the little guy! Hard to believe just that short time ago, he was a scrawny little mite with not much chance of a future. His foster brother, Big Hopper, hits the 8 week mark tomorrow. Both of them are growing well. Star is a good mom. Big Hopper is available for sale and can leave anytime starting tomorrow. He is 85.5% German with a nice coat developing. Big Hopper is Star's and Blueberry Sundae's baby, a self black with correct eye color. His genotype is aaB-CcDdE- . Li'l Bit is Starlet's and Puffalump's baby and he is a chinchilla, genotype A-Bbc(chd)cDdE-.
Opal's 2 new little babies are about 2 1/2 weeks now. They opened their eyes right on time and are growing fast. Both turn out to be boys. I'd have preferred does but as long as they are healthy, I'll take it. Both are showing promising coats, crimp and all. Opal is also a great mom. These two are her last litter. She's old enough to have earned retirement. The white one is also available for sale, available in about 6 weeks. He is 80.5% German, carries a dilute gene, might carry chocolate. His sire is Hoppin' Fresh, pure German with excellent body type, strong shoulders, and amazing density. Opal also has good type and a wonderful coat, so both of these babies should be like Big Hopper: pretty good fiber producing bundles of love.
I love having babies around, but boy! They grow so fast!
Li'l Bit is just TOO precious! It makes me want to get another Angora!
