Just very slowly. Stoopid elbow. I'm working on a Portuguese Fisherwoman's Shawl, pattern by Shelagh Smith of Vermont Designs by Shelagh Smith. Here are a couple versions on Ravelry. I love this pattern! Enough interest but not so fussy I make mistakes. And it looks so comfy, yet so functional and easy to wear. This shawl is a present for someone who I'm pretty sure does not read the blog, isn't on facebook, doesn't even have a computer set up, so I can show the shawl in progress. I started it in February and have completed section one, working on section two. The yarn - well, surprise. There's no angora in it. Yep. It's 100% cormo, worsted weight, from Alice Fields of Foxhill Farm, purchased at spinning guild at least a year ago. Working on size 8 knitpicks circs, I'm getting gauge, and I mostly like the feel. But I think I could probably use size 9 and be happy, too. I am not going back, though. I do intend to make at least one more of these shawls because I have to have one. I will use my own handspun corriedale angora blend. It's also possible I will make myself another one using the cherry cormo angora mill spun I used for my Fuzzy Francis. I had intended to sell that yarn but ... I can't. I got attached.
It feels good to be knitting, even though the elbow says otherwise.
Many thanks for promo, Chris!

Lovely to peek over your shoulder. Take it easy with the elbow, tho.

Bummer about the elbow but the shawl is delightful!
