All the way from Finland, a Hogwarts Sock Swap package winged its way to lucky lucky me. Oh, the contents! Look at these
socks - are they not gorgeous? And look at the fit! It's perfect. Nice and snug without being too small. Mafalda Bagman knits beautifully, does she not? And that's not all. She also put in the box 2 pairs of skeins for my knitting pleasure. One
is Regia Bamboo in lovely shades of Ravenclaw colors, blue and silver, the other is a delightful soft Finnish yarn, Sivilla, a blend of wool and silk that is just delicious to fondle. And the Sivilla comes with a pattern which Mafalda so nicely translated for me. Then there are the two bars (yes, I know you only see one - how long do you think I waited to taste a gift of chocolate?) of Karl Fazer chocolate. That is very nice chocolate! And then there are the bookmarks. Look at the pair of Goblet of Fire bookmarks. How cute is that?! And the gracefully beautiful beaded bookmark in Ravenclaw colors. I see an evening of sitting by a toasty fire, my feet all snuggled in my lovely socks, while I alternately knit and read, while savoring nibbles of chocolate bar. Thank you, Mafalda! You are indeed a wonderful, generous and talented Sock Swapper.
And now I must confess. I am a slacker. Well, not intentionally. Mafalda's package should have left a couple of days ago. I really was on target, almost ready to ship. And then I found a dropped stitch or two in the gusset and I tried to fix it but made things seriously worse and ultimately, the only help was to rip it out. So I'm still reknitting the foot. But the package will be on its way to you soon, I promise, Mafalda!
I'm glad, that you liked a package things. Most I was worry about socks how they fit, so it was really nice to read, that they were fitting well.
Don't worry about you knitting, I'm waiting my package patiently.
