This suggests yes. But I never count the babies before they hatch. Rabbits are very good little liars. Katniss is due in a couple days and if she has babies, this will be her first litter. She is bred to Buckwheat, a lilac Satin/French/German cross. She dumped the nestbox over and emptied it of the hay and bottom over night so clearly, like most of the German does I've had, has no use for the limits of the nestbox in its upright apparently confining space. With it emptied, she then used the hay and pulled wool to tuck into a loosely constructed nest hidden in the corner with the empty nest box beside it as a shield. I tucked her nest into the box with the box on it's side and she seems more accepting of that. At least, I gave her more hay and she immediately set to work filling the box with it. She did stop long enough to invite me to leave. Because she is a ruby eyed white and has never been bred before, I do not know what colors to expect. I don't think Buckwheat carries an REW gene so I don't think there will be any REW babies, but that is about the only educated guess I can make.
Hollyhop also has a nest box, which she is mostly ignoring. She was bred the same day as Kat, to Noble Hop (aka Hopper), a black German cross, but if she's expecting babies, she's not gonna let me know about it in advance. She had a previous litter and that was her approach then, too. Hopper carries REW, dilute and possibly chocolate. Holly carries dilute and chocolate, and her great granddam was REW so it is possible Holly carries that. So with this pair, possible colors include black and blue (most likely) chocolate, lilac, and REW.
There haven't been any babies here in over a year, so keeping my fingers crossed!
